Apple has agreed to pay $250 million to settle a category motion lawsuit that accused it of deceptive clients in regards to the availability of its Apple Intelligence options. The proposed settlement would apply to folks within the US who bought all fashions of the iPhone 16 and the iPhone 15 Professional between June tenth, 2024 and March twenty ninth, 2025.
The settlement will resolve a 2025 lawsuit, alleging Apple’s commercials created a “clear and affordable shopper expectation” that Apple Intelligence options can be obtainable with the launch of the iPhone 16. The lawsuit claimed Apple’s merchandise “provided a considerably restricted or totally absent model of Apple Intelligence, deceptive customers about its precise utility and efficiency.”
