Olathe gymnast trains for Pan Am Video games after nationwide crew camp


OLATHE, Kan. (KCTV) – Aulya Daniels returned final week from a USA Gymnastics coaching camp that includes the game’s largest names.

The 15-year-old Olathe native skilled alongside a number of the sports activities largest names on the camp.

“It was all the nationwide crew, all of the nationwide crew coaches and some different invitees,” stated her coach, Terin Humphrey.

Daniels stated the expertise was helpful.

“It was very enjoyable, I haven’t seen a few of these ladies for a very long time, so it was good to see all of them and prepare with them- very enjoyable,” the Olathe native stated.

Coaching continues at Liberty Gymnastics

Daniels is now coaching at Liberty Gymnastics as she prepares for a possible subsequent step: the Pan Am Video games.

“For a junior, the Pan Am’s are one of many largest meets that you could have,” Humphrey stated.

Daniels stated she is prepared for the chance.

“Very thrilling! Not one thing I anticipated,” Daniels stated.

Her coach, who’s a two-time silver medalist from the 2004 Olympic video games, says Daniels is well-positioned to make a run on the 2026 Olympics.
