LONDON – The New Orleans Pelicans and the San Antonio Spurs will play in Paris and Manchester subsequent 12 months as a part of the NBA’s multiyear slate of regular-season video games in Europe.
The league introduced on Wednesday that the groups will meet in Paris on Jan. 14 and in Manchester three days later.
The NBA revealed last year that it deliberate to play no less than six regular-season video games in Europe over three seasons.
That began with a pair of video games between the Memphis Grizzlies and Orlando Magic final January, in Berlin and London. The video games within the 2027-28 season will happen in Berlin and Paris.
“Taking part in video games in Paris and Manchester displays the robust momentum we’re seeing for basketball and the NBA in France, the UK and throughout Europe,” George Aivazoglou, the NBA’s managing director for Europe and the Center East, mentioned in an announcement.
“As curiosity within the recreation continues to develop throughout the continent, we look ahead to working with the Pelicans, the Spurs and our companions to ship distinctive experiences for followers, aspiring gamers and the native communities.”
Subsequent 12 months’s Paris recreation would be the NBA’s sixteenth in France since 1991 and the league’s sixth regular-season recreation in Paris. Manchester has by no means beforehand hosted a regular-season recreation, though it would mark the twentieth recreation that includes an NBA crew in England since 1993.
